"Our cleaning and housekeeping contract had historically rolled over for many years, and it was felt that this was now not providing a sufficient service in terms of value for money or in the actual tasks and it was agreed to tender the contract.

Bespoke were included on the tender list as they had previously contracted to us in a much smaller building a few years ago. The new contract would be much bigger in terms of resource and contract value.

Bespoke were successful in being awarded the 3 year contract due to their understanding of our needs, they visited site during the tender process, asked the correct and relevant questions and produced a tender return which took into account all of the requirements we had, produced a schedule of works which was both manageable and cost effective, offering immediate savings on consumables without loss of product quality.

During TUPE and the transitional period they had a Project Manager on site who took complete control, implementing not only their own good working practices, but incorporating our requirements, all done with complete professionalism and an empathy towards the operatives. Bespoke’s PM and HR team worked extremely hard to ensure a smooth transition.

Within a matter of weeks the operatives had all settled into a well organised team and the PM could hand the day to day operational duties to their area manager.

Everyone at Bespoke works as a team, their co-operation and communication is excellent with their client and this follows through to the operatives. The operatives are seen as valued members of the company, not just an unknown payroll number, working on one of hundreds of contracts, in a building somewhere in London.

Being smaller than the big players in this service market should not be viewed negatively, the positives are that they take the time to understand their client needs; they take the time to ensure they deliver in terms of service, cost, staffing, efficiencies, consumables, training and HSES.
